You have probably heard us mention this a time or two, “Your website isn’t mobile friendly.” We aren’t making it up! Let’s face it – people are using their mobile devices now more than ever. This isn’t just among the younger generations, everywhere you look people are using their mobile phones and tablets for banking, shopping, emailing, etc. A study in 2016, put the estimate at 69% of the worlds population as having a mobile phone. That’s insane!

It’s no wonder Google and other search engines are now considering your mobile friendliness as a ranking signal. Read more from Google’s official blog here: https://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2014/11/helping-users-find-mobile-friendly-pages.html

Is Having a Mobile Friendly Website Important?

What does this mean for your website? If it isn’t mobile friendly, your website is now going to show up further down in the search results; possibly several pages later! The best way to drive traffic to your website is by ranking well on the search engines. Think about the different search results that Google has influence over: Keyword Searches, Google Maps/Places, and any other website that might be linking to you. If you aren’t mobile friendly – Google is going to look down on you like an evil red headed step-child.

Really, all website owners should want to reach as many people as possible, regardless of the device they are using to load your website. So why not make it mobile friendly for your iPhone, Android, and other mobile users? You owe them the best user experience when visiting your website!
